Public Relations Consultant

About the Role

The Right Ethos, a micro social justice campaign organisation, is seeking a Public Relations Consultant to work remotely on a part-time basis. This role requires two to three days per week, with pay dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive media strategies in collaboration with the founders.
• Respond rapidly to emerging media opportunities and urgent situations.
• Identify research and campaigning ideas with the leadership team.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists.
• Package stories to counter opposing viewpoints.
• Turn evidence into national media coverage that influences public debate and policy.

What We Are Looking For

• A proven record of securing national media coverage that has affected public debate and contributed to policy change.
• Experience handling controversial stories and rebutting organised opposition.
• Demonstrated ability to create newsworthy hooks, moments, and stunts for positive media coverage.
