Audiologist - Bury St Edmunds (3 days) / Newmarket (2 days) - FTC

About the role

Our client is looking for an Audiologist / Hearing Aid Dispenser to cover a number of practices, split between Bury St Edmunds (3 days) and Newmarket (2 days). This is a fixed-term contract role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough hearing assessments to determine the nature and extent of patients' hearing loss
• Provide expert advice and guidance on hearing solutions, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices
• Select, fit, and dispense appropriate hearing aids to patients, ensuring proper functionality and comfort
• Conduct follow-up appointments to fine-tune hearing aids, make necessary adjustments, and address any concerns or issues
• Offer counselling and support to patients and their families to help them adapt to their hearing aids and manage their hearing loss effectively
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive hearing care services

What we're looking for

• Minimum of a master's degree in Hearing Aid Audiology or a related field
• Valid certification as an Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser
• At least 1-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Thorough knowledge of hearing assessment techniques, hearing aid technology, and assistive listening devices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds

Salary and benefits

Competitive annual salary of £42,000 plus the potential of up to 20% bonus based on sales revenue, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
