Trusted Recruiter is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing client within the mobility and rehabilitation equipment sector for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South of England.
Our client has more than 30 years' experience within the wheelchair and mobility market and has built an excellent reputation for its products, service and long-standing customer relationships. The business continues to invest in new and updated products, product development and further growth across the UK.
The role will be primarily focused on developing sales through mobility dealers, retailers and specialist mobility companies across the South.
You will manage and develop existing accounts while identifying new dealer and retailer opportunities, increasing product penetration and building strong, commercially successful relationships across the territory.
You will also have the support of an in-house telemarketing team, helping to generate opportunities and appointments and allowing you to spend more time in the field meeting customers rather than being heavily reliant on cold prospecting.
The product portfolio includes manual wheelchairs, powered mobility products, rollators and bariatric chairs.
This is a field-based role covering the South of England.
Due to the geographical size of the territory, candidates should be comfortable with regular travel, customer visits and managing their diary effectively.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who already have experience within the wheelchair and mobility equipment sector, ideally with knowledge of the mobility dealer and retail market.
You could currently be:
Previous wheelchair experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of mobility dealers and retailers across the South of England would be particularly advantageous, and candidates with existing relationships and contacts within the dealer network are strongly encouraged to apply.
This role would suit somebody who is comfortable developing business but who also takes a consultative, relationship-led approach. You should be confident demonstrating products, understanding customer requirements and developing accounts commercially over the long term.
There are several opportunities to earn additional income beyond the basic salary rather than relying solely on one annual sales target.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Area Sales Manager who understands the wheelchair and mobility market and enjoys developing relationships with dealers and retailers.
You will have established customer relationships to develop alongside significant scope to win new accounts, grow existing customers and increase the company's presence across the Southern mobility market.
The business regularly introduces new and updated products, providing fresh opportunities to engage with customers and generate additional sales.
There may also be opportunities to attend overseas industry events and visit manufacturing facilities, providing greater exposure to product development and the wider mobility market.
Combined with the support of an in-house telemarketing team, this allows you to concentrate much more heavily on customer visits, demonstrations, product training, account development and growing your territory.
