The Opportunity

Our client is a long-established independent hearing care provider with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality domiciliary audiology services throughout Scotland.

Due to continued growth and succession planning within the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser to join the team covering Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

This role offers the opportunity to inherit an established patient base while enjoying a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and professional independence. Unlike many corporate providers, the focus is firmly on patient care rather than sales targets or KPIs.

About the Role

This is a fully domiciliary position, providing hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and aftercare services directly within patients' homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own diary, patient journey, equipment and stock while delivering exceptional levels of customer care.

Working as part of an independent business means clinicians are able to recommend solutions from all leading hearing aid manufacturers, ensuring recommendations are based solely on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments in patients' homes
  • Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aid technology
  • Provide hearing aid aftercare and fine-tuning appointments
  • Deliver ear wax removal services via microsuction (training available if required)
  • Manage an established patient base and develop long-term relationships
  • Schedule and manage appointments efficiently
  • Maintain hearing aid stock and clinical equipment
  • Complete all required patient administration and record keeping
  • Coordinate hearing aid repairs and manufacturer returns
  • Support business growth through excellent patient care and referrals

Candidate Requirements

Desirable • Microsuction qualification • Previous domiciliary experience

Training can be provided where required.

Who This Role Would Suit

This opportunity is ideally suited to an Audiologist who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of their day-to-day activities.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing: • Their own diary • Clinical equipment • Hearing aid stock • Patient administration • Repairs and manufacturer returns

This role is particularly attractive to clinicians who: • Enjoy autonomy and flexibility • Are self-motivated and highly organised • Prefer a patient-focused environment over a target-driven culture • Enjoy building long-term patient relationships • Are comfortable working independently throughout the day • Enjoy travelling as part of their role

As this is a fully domiciliary service, driving forms a significant part of the position. Candidates based in or around the Glasgow area are strongly preferred.

Territory & Travel • Glasgow • West of Scotland

The role involves significant travel throughout the region, with clinicians typically covering substantial distances each week as part of the home-visit service model.

A company car is provided.

What We Offer

Salary & Benefits • £40,000 basic salary • Company car • £3,000 guaranteed Christmas bonus • Four weeks annual leave plus public holidays • Flexible working structure • No sales targets • No KPI-driven environment • No micromanagement • Established patient base • Opportunity for future incentives and profit-sharing

Commission Structure • 7.5% commission on monthly sales up to £10,000 • 12.5% commission on monthly sales above £10,000

With average monthly sales typically around £20,000, there is excellent opportunity to increase earnings through commission.

Why Apply.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected independent hearing care provider that values professional autonomy, patient outcomes and work-life balance.

The role offers: • An established patient database • Genuine flexibility • Clinical independence • Strong earning potential • Long-term career prospects • A supportive, family-business culture

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can focus on delivering outstanding patient care without corporate pressures, we would be delighted to hear from you.
