Would you like to work for an established, family-run independent hearing care business where you are trusted to use your clinical expertise, build lasting patient relationships and be rewarded for your hard work.

I'm delighted to be working in partnership with a growing independent hearing care provider that is looking to recruit 2 - 4 Audiologists / Hearing Aid Dispensers as part of its continued expansion across the North West and South of England.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the personal side of audiology, values clinical independence and wants the opportunity to develop a rewarding long-term career with significant earning potential.

Whether you are an experienced clinician looking for greater freedom and financial reward or a developing Audiologist keen to build your career within a supportive independent business, I'd love to hear from you.

About the Opportunity

My client is an established, family-run independent hearing care business with a strong reputation for providing personalised hearing healthcare, excellent clinical standards and ongoing patient support.

Unlike larger corporate organisations, the business prides itself on taking the time to understand individual patients, providing impartial clinical recommendations and offering hearing solutions from a wide selection of leading manufacturers.

With an established patient database and plans for further growth, the business offers an exciting combination of clinical independence, commercial opportunity and professional support.

The role is predominantly domiciliary, with approximately 90% of appointments taking place in patients' homes and 10% within established hearing care clinics.

You will be supported by dedicated diary management and administrative teams, allowing you to concentrate on what you do best - providing outstanding hearing care.

What Will You Be Doing.

As an Audiologist / Hearing Aid Dispenser, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive hearing care service to adult patients across your designated territory.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive adult hearing assessments, with appointments typically lasting up to 90 minutes.

Providing personalised hearing rehabilitation and tailored hearing care recommendations.

Undertaking appropriate clinical testing, including Real Ear Measurements (REMs), Uncomfortable Loudness Levels (ULLs), speech testing, AB word lists and QuickSIN where clinically appropriate.

Recommending, fitting and programming hearing aids from a wide selection of leading manufacturers.

Providing clear, impartial advice to help patients understand their hearing needs and available solutions.

Delivering excellent aftercare, follow-up appointments and ongoing hearing aid support.

Building strong, trusted relationships with patients and their families.

Maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to professional and clinical governance standards.

Identifying appropriate opportunities to improve patients' hearing and quality of life.

Managing your working day independently while working closely with the wider clinical and administrative teams.

You will typically undertake approximately 3 - 6 appointments per day, depending on appointment type and location, with your diary planned to minimise unnecessary travel.

Who Are We Looking For.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and self-motivated Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser who combines excellent clinical standards with strong interpersonal and commercial skills.

Essential requirements:

Qualified Audiologist / Hearing Aid Dispenser with appropriate HCPC registration.

Strong clinical assessment, hearing aid fitting and rehabilitation skills.

Confidence working with hearing technology from a range of manufacturers.

Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to explain clinical information clearly and compassionately.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and a genuine ability to build trust and rapport with patients.

A patient-centred approach, with a commitment to providing ethical and appropriate hearing care recommendations.

Commercial awareness and the confidence to identify suitable hearing solutions.

Self-motivation, excellent organisation and the ability to work independently.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within an agreed local territory.

Appropriate right to work in the UK.

Desirable skills:

Experience within independent or private hearing healthcare.

Previous domiciliary audiology experience.

Experience using REMs, speech-in-noise testing and other verification procedures.

Microsuction or earwax removal training.

Experience working autonomously and developing long-term patient relationships.

Don't have extensive independent or domiciliary experience.

That doesn't necessarily rule you out.

The business is happy to consider developing clinicians who demonstrate the right attitude, clinical foundation, communication skills and willingness to learn.

Locations and Working Arrangements

Opportunities are available across:

North West England

Lancashire and surrounding areas.

Territories supporting the business's North West operations.

Southern England

Oxfordshire.

Henley-on-Thames and surrounding areas.

Guildford and wider Southern England territories.

Exact territories will be agreed according to business needs and candidate location.

This is a field-based opportunity, with appointments generally arranged within an agreed geographical area, typically around 20 - 40 miles from your home or local base.

A dedicated diary management team will coordinate patient appointments and group visits geographically wherever possible.

Full-time permanent positions are preferred, although part-time and flexible arrangements may be considered for suitable candidates.

Salary, Commission and Benefits

This opportunity offers an attractive package designed to reward clinicians who combine excellent patient care with strong individual performance.

Basic Salary

Approximately £30,000 for developing or less experienced clinicians.

£35,000 - £40,000 may be available for more experienced and strongly qualified candidates.

Commission and Earning Potential

Attractive performance-related commission, with a scheme expected to be in the region of 12.5% - 20%, depending on the agreed structure and performance.

Uncapped earning potential.

Potential OTE of £120,000 - £140,000 for exceptional high-performing clinicians.

Commission structure and individual earning potential will be discussed and confirmed during the recruitment process. OTE figures are potential earnings, not guaranteed income.

Additional Benefits

Company pension.

Mileage reimbursement in accordance with the agreed policy.

All clinical equipment provided, including audiometer and associated testing equipment.

Dedicated diary management and administrative support.

Access to a wide selection of hearing aid manufacturers.

Structured onboarding and clinical training.

Potential company car and fuel support for established, high-performing clinicians following probation, subject to approval.

Opportunities for professional and commercial development as the business expands.

Training and Support

One of the particularly attractive aspects of this opportunity is the support available when joining the business.

Depending on your previous experience, you may receive up to 6 - 8 weeks of accompanied visits and structured training alongside an experienced qualified Audiologist.

This will help you become familiar with the company's clinical standards, hearing aid technology, working practices and approach to patient care.

You will also benefit from experienced diary managers, reception and office teams who provide practical support with appointment planning and administration.

A Different Kind of Working Environment

What particularly appeals to me about this opportunity is the combination of clinical independence, personalised patient care and the chance to be genuinely rewarded for the effort you put in.

My client is looking for individuals who take ownership, enjoy building their own success and understand that excellent patient care and commercial performance can work hand in hand.

There is a strong emphasis on doing the right thing for the patient, building trust and developing long-lasting relationships.

Rather than a rigid, target-driven environment, the business encourages a proactive, performance-led approach where personal initiative and results are recognised.

You will have the freedom to develop relationships with your patients, access to a broad range of hearing technology and the support of an established business behind you.

Could This Be Your Next Career Move.

If you are an experienced Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser who enjoys working independently, building meaningful patient relationships and wants an opportunity where your commitment and success can be financially rewarding, this could be a fantastic next step.

Equally, if you are looking to move into independent hearing care and would welcome the right training and support, I'd be delighted to have a conversation.

As always, all enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
