About Endeavourcom

Endeavourcom installs data cabling, fibre optics, telephone systems, CCTV, live streaming systems and access control solutions across London and Kent.

This is a site-based role, so daily travel will be part of the job. You will work across a wide range of environments including offices, factories, schools, colleges, campuses, churches and other customer sites. Some early starts, late finishes and work outside normal office hours will be required.

The Role

We are looking for a Cabling Installation Engineer to join the Endeavourcom team.

You will be involved in installing low-voltage data and telephone cabling across a variety of customer sites. The role will include working with containment, cabling routes, cabinets, testing, labelling and keeping accurate site records.

This would suit someone with experience in cabling, electrical work, building work or a similar hands-on trade who is reliable, presentable and willing to learn. Training will be provided for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Installing low-voltage data and telephone cabling
• Installing wall and floor cabinets
• Installing new containment to house cabling
• Creating new routes through walls, ceilings and other structures
• Installing cables in containment, loft spaces, wall and ceiling voids, risers and ducts
• Installing external cables on overhead catenary wires and in underground ducts
• Terminating, testing and labelling cables and outlets
• Marking up site plans and keeping accurate records
• Liaising with customers and working respectfully within their environments
• Loading and unloading tools and materials from vehicles
• Making good and leaving work areas tidy

What We are Looking For

Essential:

• Experience in cabling, electrical work, building work or a similar practical role
• Configuration skills for Wi Fi, CCTV and other IP-based systems
• Numerate and literate, with the ability to complete job sheets and follow instructions
• Smart and well-presented
• Reliable with good timekeeping
• A strong team player
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Able to work varying hours and travel to London and beyond
• Based in East Kent with your own transport

Desirable:

• GCSEs in Maths and English
• Experience in the data or telecoms industry
• Knowledge of electrical contracting or construction procedures

Training:

Training will be provided, and Endeavourcom is willing to train individuals with the right attitude and practical skills.
