Casual Retail Team Member - Petersfield

About the Role

There's more to COOK than food: our shops play active roles in the communities they serve, thanks to the warmth, knowledge and care of our Retail Team. We're looking for remarkable people to join us who can host customers in the shop just like they would at home.

The Role

• Offer remarkable service — the customer always comes first.
• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions.
• Talk to customers about upcoming offers, products and promotions.
• Keep the shop looking immaculate, clean and spotless, with stock replenished and rotated and the freezers full.
• Operate the till efficiently and accurately.
• Understand the shop paperwork and the necessary legal checks.
• Open and close the shop, including cashing up.
• Check in deliveries, place orders and assist with stock taking as required.
• Look smart with apron and name badge worn at all times.

Good to Have

• An interest in food is great — full training is given on COOK's products, including how and where they're made.
• Previous experience in retail or a customer-facing role is a bonus, but not essential.
