Salary: £35,369.89 per annum, pro rata at 42 hours per week (based on an FTE starting salary of £31,159.19 at 37 hours per week)
Hours: 42 hours per week on an 8-week rolling rota

As a Central Control Room Operator, you will gain all the perks of working for Canterbury City Council, in an exciting role at the hub of communication, working in our new, modern, city centre Control Room as part of a supportive team.
It is a multi-functional role that can mean rapid changes regarding who you are talking to and what help you can provide.

It is the person, and their skills and abilities to support Central Control, we are looking for. This could be demonstrated from having worked in another control room, or similar, but this is not essential as experience can be transferable and some specific skills learnt.
Please note, applicants must either have a current SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance Licence or be able to secure this within an agreed timeframe with our support, and this licence must be maintained whilst in post.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances and pass Kent Police vetting.
