GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Class 2 Driver on behalf of one of our customers in Stoke, James Brindley Way.
You will be a frontline representative of the company, responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of secure shipments to and from our Service Centre and Hub facilities. The post holder is directly responsible for enhancing the customer experience at every stage through a conscientious and dedicated approach to tasks.

Shift pattern
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 18:00 (9 hours per day, 45 hours per week)
- Break: 1 hour unpaid
Pay
- Hourly rate: £19.01 per hour
- Shift premium: extra £2.80 per hour after 7.00 pm
- Saturday premium: extra £1.22 per hour
- Sunday premium: extra £2.27 per hour
- Overtime is paid after 45 hours at time and a half
Responsibilities
- Safely driving and operating an LGV to deliver and collect secure shipments
- Planning and managing your daily routes to meet deadlines efficiently
- Ensuring the security of shipments and compliance with company policies and legal regulations
Qualifications
- Hold a valid Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous driving experience would be ideal
- Excellent organisational and route-planning skills
- Flexibility to handle varying workloads and operational peaks
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes
- Commitment to working safely within the EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
- For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years
Security checks
As this role is based within a major UK airport, all applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening in accordance with aviation security regulations. This process will include:
- Applicants will need to provide a 5-year history check or equivalent documentation to meet regulatory/security requirements
- A UK criminal record check
