��️ The Role

As an Optical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both the clinical and retail aspects of the practice, ensuring every patient receives a warm, professional, and tailored experience.

�� Key Responsibilities • Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service • Supporting the Optometrist during clinics • Dispensing spectacles and advising on frames, lenses, and coatings • Taking accurate measurements (e.g. PDs, heights) • Pre-screening patients (OCT, fields, autorefractor, etc.) • Managing appointments and diary coordination • Handling queries in person and over the phone • Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional practice environment • Requirements • Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential • Must have experience working in an independent opticians • Strong dispensing and product knowledge • Confident communication and interpersonal skills • A patient-first approach with attention to detail • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team • Passion for delivering high-quality, personalised care
