About the Role

The Right Ethos is seeking an External Affairs and Policy Specialist to join its London Hybrid team. As the UK's largest care association, our client champions homecare providers and shapes national conversations on policy and public debate. This role offers significant responsibility and visibility within a small, dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate policy insights, member experience and evidence into clear communications for Parliament, media, stakeholders and members.
• Develop and implement external communications strategies to support the association's policy work.
• Represent the association at key events and meetings with government, media and industry partners.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Monitor and analyse policy developments to inform strategic communications.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in external affairs, policy communications or similar roles within the public sector or membership bodies.
• Strong understanding of UK policy landscape, particularly in social care and homecare.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and persuasion.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with evolving priorities.
• Political awareness and interest in shaping public debate around homecare.
• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience.
