Are you an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys getting involved in every area of the function? Would you like to work for a business at a time of change and transformation, where you can influence how HR is done? Are you ready to help shape a new HR system and the ways of working that go with it?
We are partnering exclusively with a well-established business to appoint a Senior HR Generalist into their busy, collaborative HR team of four. The business is going through a period of change and transformation, and this is a genuine opportunity to make a real impact. You will be moving to a new HR system and evolving existing processes, with exposure to wider HR projects alongside responsibility for supporting and managing key HR functions across multiple entities.
This is a true generalist role covering employee relations, learning and development, HR systems, succession planning, recruitment, re-organisation and legal and regulatory compliance. You will be comfortable working across all of these areas, dealing with all levels of stakeholders in the UK and overseas and adapting to changing business needs.
The role will include:
- Leading and managing HR processes for the site, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Supporting and delivering recruitment and staffing processes
- Working with business partners and stakeholders to find solutions, resolve issues and manage conflict in a creative and proactive way
- Representing management in the investigation and resolution of disciplinary and grievance matters
- Managing HR administration, including payroll, HR systems and databases, employee records, HR communications and policy management, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
- Taking ownership of performance management processes and advising on the application of employee relations policies
- Developing and delivering training to managers and other stakeholders
- Promoting participation in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
- Contributing to the implementation of a new HR system and the evolution of existing processes
About you:
- 5+ years’ experience in a broad HR role
- Genuine generalist experience across employee relations, HR systems and payroll, learning and development, and compliance
- Confident handling disciplinary and grievance matters independently
- Experience of supporting change, ideally including an HR system implementation or transition
- Comfortable training and advising managers at all levels
- Collaborative and adaptable, with a proactive approach to solving problems
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Good level of Excel, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables
The package:
Alongside the salary, you will receive up to a 5% bonus, a 6% matched pension and free lunch/snacks.
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Flexible start and leave times available.
Working pattern: Hybrid, with around two days a week in the office, flexible around business needs
