Injection Moulding Setter

About the Role

A growing manufacturing business in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join their production team. This is a permanent, full-time role working 45 hours per week across day, evening and night shifts (6am to 3pm, 2pm to 11pm, 10pm to 7am). This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with injection moulding machines, optimising processes and delivering high-quality PVC products. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will take ownership of your production processes and make a tangible impact on efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate injection moulding machines to meet production schedules
• Set up, optimise and safely run tooling and processing equipment, including tool changes and first-off approvals
• Monitor output, maintain accurate production records (including settings and scrap causes), and ensure products meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with teams including Quality, Engineering and Warehouse
• Follow technical instructions, standard operating procedures and safety regulations
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure safety and compliance

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of polymer materials, tooling, machine parameters and processing behaviour
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
• Knowledge of Lean Principles, process capability and continuous improvement
• Confidence in troubleshooting and optimising injection moulding processes
• Strong communication, teamwork and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing environment
