The role

• Lead the public affairs work to achieve significant change for some of the most vulnerable people in the UK.
• Affect government policy and the debate in parliament by building relationships with ministers, parliamentarians and across Whitehall, as well as partners and coalitions.
• Manage two Policy Officers and a Parliamentary Assistant, ensuring work across public affairs and policy is maximised.

The candidate

• Successful experience in public affairs with a natural instinct for how to bring about change.
• A leader who can direct the team, pick up the evidence for the development of policy and influence effectively.
• Demonstrable experience of building successful relationships across parliament and Whitehall, together with the robustness to engage with senior external decision makers and senior colleagues.
