The Canterbury Museums & Galleries team at Canterbury City Council are looking for a Museum Audience & Engagement Intern to join them.
This is a full-time 1 year internship position with Canterbury Museums & Galleries.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to build practical skills and experience within a busy and ambitious museum service. Working closely with the Museums Audience & Engagement Officer, you will gain hands-on experience in audience engagement, programming, marketing and digital communications, helping to connect people with our collections, exhibitions and events. You will support the delivery of visitor-focused projects, create content for digital and social media channels, assist with audience research and evaluation, and contribute to activities that broaden participation and develop new audiences.
This role will support the museum in attracting, understanding and engaging audiences by helping develop inclusive programmes, communications and visitor experiences.
Usually Monday to Friday. The Museum is a 7-day operation and regularly hosts events outside core hours. Flexibility to work on weekends, public holidays and before/after public hours is therefore required.
The role is based at The Beaney Museum office but options for flexible / hybrid working are offered.
