Our manufacturing client, near Dartford, is seeking an experienced Production Inspector (electronics) for a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Quality Manager.

Key details

• Location: Crayford (near Dartford)
• Salary: £26,789.88 pa + overtime when required (£13.21 ph, weekly pay)
• Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm Friday (39 hours per week)
• Contract: Permanent, full-time

About the role

Responsible for inspecting key component groups before product is released from the production area, ensuring feedback for any non-conforming product is passed to the Production Supervisor and Operators.

Duties may include

• Full visual inspection of key areas in conventional build before release from the area
• Following company health and safety requirements
• Understanding and implementing necessary anti-static precautions
• Using inspection tools (magnifiers etc) for PCB manufacturing
• Understanding manufacturing documents and following specific instructions
• Understanding IPC 610 standards with regard to conventional assembly
• Highlighting any build discrepancies to the Quality Department and Production Supervision
• Keeping the section area clean, tidy and safe for all staff at all times
• Carrying out First Offs against Product Bill of Materials and customer specifications

The ideal candidate

• Experience within an electronic manufacturing environment (PCBs) preferred but not essential
• Understanding of IPC-A-610 or qualification preferred
• Able to identify components including resistor colour codes
• General standard of education required
