SENIOR PARAPLANNER - DERBY

Location: Derby
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 + Bonus
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paraplanner to join the growing team.

You will provide high-quality technical and paraplanning support to Financial Advisers, conducting research, preparing recommendations and producing detailed suitability reports. You will play an important role in ensuring client work is accurate, compliant and delivered to a consistently high standard.

The firm is particularly interested in candidates who are technology-driven and keen to embrace the use of technology and AI within financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and personalised suitability reports and client correspondence
• Conduct detailed technical research and analysis to support recommendations
• Prepare recommendations across pensions, investments, protection, inheritance tax, trusts and business planning
• Review fact finds, illustrations and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct comparative research across products and providers
• Investigate client queries and provide accurate and timely responses
• Support business submissions and case preparation where required
• Obtain additional information through Letters of Authority
• Prepare client presentation packs and supporting documentation
• Work closely with Advisers and colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (CII) or equivalent
• At least 2 years' experience within Financial Services
• Strong technical knowledge of financial planning products and services
• Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical, research and report-writing skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• A proactive, positive and collaborative approach
• A genuine interest in technology, AI and improving financial planning processes

• Voyant
• Salesforce
• Aptus
• Business submissions and client presentation packs
• Previous experience within a Chartered Financial Planning environment
