Urban Outfitters - Full Time Team Leader (40 hours)

The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in achieving a store environment that fosters creativity, employee development and the VIBE philosophy, upholding the Urban Outfitters "Peers Training Peers" philosophy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Recruit, motivate, develop and lead a team; manage performance development (appraisals, development plans, coaching and disciplinary actions)
• Model the way by inspiring, motivating and encouraging teamwork; conduct productive daily meetings
• Oversee all levels of customer service, exhibit excellent floor presence and coach the team on standards and product placement
• Perform store-level operational procedures accurately, oversee loss prevention and Health & Safety compliance
• Manage merchandising, shipment placement, markdowns, transfers and store standards in collaboration with the Department/Visual Merchandising Manager
• Maximise departmental sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise, and manage stock levels appropriately

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience in a management role within a fast-paced, high-volume fashion retail environment
• Strong operational skills and understanding of the Urban Outfitters culture and its appeal to the local market
• Ability to drive sales through excellent service, strong visual presentation and a full understanding of the business

Fully flexible availability Mon-Sun (mornings, afternoons, evenings) required.
