Warehouse Operative – Wheelchairs

Trusted Recruiter is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established manufacturer and supplier of mobility equipment to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their friendly and supportive team in Worcestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in ensuring products are prepared to the highest standard before reaching customers. Working as part of a small, experienced team, you will be responsible for general warehouse duties alongside assembling and setting up wheelchairs ready for dispatch. For candidates with the right technical aptitude and customer-focused approach, there may also be the opportunity to occasionally visit customers to troubleshoot or resolve product issues.

The Role

  • Assemble and prepare wheelchairs prior to dispatch
  • Carry out general warehouse duties including goods in/out
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately
  • Assist with stock control and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Ensure products are built, checked and packaged to a high standard
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer orders are delivered on time
  • Occasionally support customers with basic product troubleshooting where required (experience dependent)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous warehouse or stores experience
  • Good practical and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience assembling, servicing or preparing products is advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills for warehouse or stock systems would be beneficial
  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
  • Experience within the mobility, rehabilitation, wheelchair or medical device sector would be highly desirable, although candidates from other mechanical or technical warehouse backgrounds are also encouraged to apply

Package

  • Salary around £30,000, with flexibility for candidates offering additional technical experience
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Permanent full-time position
